Mark started his career on Wall Street in 1994 as an institutional bond broker and trader at Garban International, now part of ICAP. He then spent 4 years as Vice President at Heennessee Group LLC, advising clients on their hedge fund portfolios. He took his experience in hedge funds to Erste Group Bank in 2003, where he spent 12 years managing USD 2bn in direct hedge funds and private equity investments, with offices in Vienna, London, and New York.

In 2015, Mark co-founded and managed the wealth management firm Infinity Capital, A.S., which managed hedge funds, private equity, and venture investments. Grasping the opportunity to combine his extensive experience in the financial industry with the technological know-how and access and network in the blockchain industry through Ed Hesse, Gavin Wood, and Aaron Buchanan, Mark cofounded Scytale Ventures in 2017, launching his first Venture Fund, Scytale Horizon I.
